On Tuesday July 2 the American Red Cross conducts annual Blood Drive hosted by Pocono Raceway. The details of the event will follow this important announcement. As a part of this event Pocono Raceway offers spirited laps of the 2.5 mile famous Tri-Oval track lead by the tracks pace vehicle of a $10 per lap donation. The Pocono Region will match your lap(s) donation dollar per dollar for up to 3 laps. That means that if you donate $30 and run 3 laps of the track the Region will double your donation. If your family member runs 1, 2, or 3 more laps we will match their donation too. I hope you will consider participating in the “Ride for the Red”. Region members will be onsite at the track from Noon to 6 pm to sign you up for the matching donation. You do not need to donate blood to participate in the Lap Match but if you are going to donate you must run your laps first. We hope to see you there.
